on a side note... why is any time there is a picture of a soccer player with their pants down they're wearing black underwear? Not, of course, that I've seen that many pictures of soccer players with their pants down *cough*

It's because black hides a multitude of sins. It doesn't discolour when soaked with sweat, if their shorts move while playing it doesn't risk visible grass stains, etc.
