    OK, I know police officers are humans too... but you'd think that things such as "did I remember my M-4 Assault Rifle" would be a thought going through their heads while leaving a scene.

    eta- I should mention... I do have the utmost respect still for our law enforcement officers and do understand just how stressful the situation is... and definitely know that I wouldn't have been able to handle it... that still doesn't change my first reaction from being

      No! He didn't "forget it in the grass", he "left it in the grass". Forgetting always happens in your head. Ahhhhh. Can't stand it when people say "I forgot it at home". Well, you did forget it while at home, dipshit, but the phrase you want is either "I left it at home" or "I forgot it. It's at home."

      Oh, okay, and leaving an assault rifle on someone's front lawn? Heheheheh.
