UGH! Because heaven forbid anyone play a sport for enjoyment! Or enjoy a sport they're bad at!

I will be happy if I never hear the word "compatible" used of a human being ever EVER again.

Self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you're told "your kid will be a marathon runner!" what will the parents do? Spend all their time pushing the kid to exercise and run (and buy/take care of things related to it). Tell parents the kid will suck at all sports, they won't even try to get them involved.

Not saying some people don't do better at things than others in a natural sense, but it doesn't mean people can't be good at something (and really.... if people could do whatever they wanted without fear of losing their home, going without food/etc -- almost everyone would be doing what they're best at because they'd enjoy it).

Me too! It's on my list of Sci-Fi Movies Everyone Should See Even If They Don't Like Sci-Fi. (not that it's hard sci-fi, but hey) Seriously, fantastic film. Nicely shot, gorgeous music, great story.
