  • Number 6 dies

He was not a number... Patrick Mcgoohan has sadly departed for the great Village in the sky.

...and I think we can be pretty sure he won't be escaping from that village either.

Oh dude I nearly had a heart attack. I thought you meant a different Number 6 when I saw the title. You know the pretty, seductive one.

Off-topic: She's pretty but those clothes they make her wear do nothing to flatter it. Especially since none of them seem to involve a bra.

True, so very true. Still for a model who's never acted before she's done a good job. I'd hate to see her go.

            RIP, Patrick McGoohan.

            Be seeing you, Number Six.

Sad to hear it. Here's hoping Sci Fi channel picks up the series (only moderately science fiction) and runs the series at least once.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who though that *sigh of relief*

For a machine she had to be one of the deeper characters the sci-fi channel has put on the air recently.

                  No mention of Braveheart?

The theme song got it right - Secret Agent Man didn't live to see tomorrow. Seems like there's an epidemic of deaths among cultural icons - Majel Baret (Nurse Chapel on Star Trek), Ricardo Montalban (Mr. Roarke on Fantasy Island), and now Patrick McGoohan.
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

Actually, that would be more like Hotel California . . .

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave . . .

He will be truly missed. Although best remembered for THE PRISONER (and its earlier incarnation SECRET AGENT/DANGER MAN) he also did SCARECROW OF ROMNEY MARSH, the movie ICE STATION ZEBRA and of course BRAVEHEART (I _loved_ when he threw his son's lover out the castle window. The guards look at the body, look up to see the king and make themselves scarce _fast_!).

A great actor and writer, we won't see his likes soon again...

I did not know that Majel Barrett pasted away last year. I am such a big star trek fan too. Went to all the conventions back in the 80's and 90's.

I don't know if anyone here watches StarGate but Don B Davis that played General Hammond past away last year too. They made a nice comment in the final episode of Star Gate Atlantis.

Sorry to nitpick but it's Don S Davis. Yeah I heard about it the day it was announced. So sad. I did like the tribute on SGA's finale though.

Don S Davis will always be Major Garland Briggs to me.
