So, apparently this woman thought that because Denny's was giving out free breakfasts, she also should have gotten to ignore signs and park illegally for free.

How long until we start seeing their letters on PFB?

If the signage was wrong, or unclear, that's one thing. But if it was a clear line between businesses, then they shouldn't be complaining.

Signs were posted in the various lots warning that vehicles could be towed. Denny's manager Inteshar Masud said he also placed a sign on the door of his restaurant warning that the cars could be towed if they parked in illegal spaces.
as usual most of the SCs feel ... if they dislike it the sign doesn't exist

So she's going to fight it.

Yeah, good luck with that. Because professional towing companies wouldn't expect and be 100% prepared for people fighting it.

"I was gone two minutes and when I came wheeling my mother-in-law out in her wheelchair, my truck was gone."
Unless they were there actively towing, it takes more than two minutes to tow a car.

Hmm.... the article did say "when managers called or they were actively patrolling" -- but still.... finding the truck, hooking it up, and driving off so they didn't see it... I'd be more likely to believe "under 10 min" than under 2.

You'd be amazed at how fast the tow truck drivers can get a car set up to be towed and gone once they get it down to an art.

I've seen a number of tow-truck drivers while I've been in my bus, once I timed one when I was bored (and recorded the time it took in the notes on my phone for good measure), from arrival to departure it took 5 minutes 42 seconds. That includes backing up the vehicle, popping the lock on the door, setting the wheel braces for towing, lifting the vehicle and taking off. I'm guessing he has been working as a towie for years.

Granted that's not "two minutes", but it's still pretty damn fast.

I can't feel sorry for them. Whem my neighbor ran a daycare in her house people would regularly use the alley out back as a parking lot, blocking my driveway. My mother-in-law would ask them to move their car when she'd come to visit and they'd give her an attitude and when I put up a "Do Not Block Driveway" sign they'd just knock it down. And I can't park out on the side of the road in front of my house because I ended up with a parking ticket doing that!

So.............all I can say about them is: Sucks to be them.
