The sad part is that this doesn't surprise me at all (the game and the fact that it's pulled / banned).

This is actually not too unusual for Japanese games, although usually the woman ends up 'liking it' or whatever. However, this game seems brutal even by their standards.

I was going to say, this seems overboard even for Japan's H-game culture. I have seen a lot of games that include rape scenarios, but nothing as bad as this sounds. Ick.

Nope, just moving it to the right forum, and trimming out the article quoted, since we don't allow wholesale copy pasting. If you really felt this was Fratching-esque, you should have reported it.

Due to the way the board handles links, it was truncated. Should be working now.

I think I'm gonna be sick.

I am vaguely reminded of the controversy over Carmageddon when it came out, too.

Games that sensationalise criminal acts will always walk a tight thin line.

I find it impossible to be shocked disturbed or surprised by anything anymore.
If I dropped everybody who occasionally said something stupid from my list of potential partners, I wouldn’t even be able to masturbate

I'm actually surprised about the recent outrage over a 3 year old game.

well... im going to say that... having lived in japan i'm not totally surprised

now don't get me wrong, this is the one country where i felt totally safe to walk down a dark alley in the middle of the night.

and yes there's crime there... but usually it's nothing compared to what we had in the states.

still some japanese women are afraid of attacks and rapes... (even with a low crime rate). you can even buy an outfit to disguise yourself as a vending machine...

and japan has weird video games... they also have games where the main character has to learn how to earn money and get suave etc to get the girl of his dreams etc.

i somewhat suspect rape video game is an attempt to let men experience naughty urges and get them out of their system, so that by day they act like normal people and ... so they don't go out and do it for real.

i'm not saying i support this game... just that i suspect i know what they were thinking when they created it.

(side note... RapePlay?... oy Yeah it sounds like one of those CosPlay things, costume play, role playing... just with a twist of darkness...O_o)
