    • heh. kinda like how one of my teachers ... we had to do an assignment where we wrote stories and she'd "know" if we took them from the internet.

she apparently didn't try very hard because, if she did, then she'd realize I'd kinda "lifted" mine too - well from my own blog. so it wasn't plagiarism but still... i guess she never bothered really looking either. heh.

      • Digging through archives. Has anyone encountered an EW of this caliber? On second thought, don't answer - would be tempting fate to bring one around.

This person should bring their (former) boss' e-mail replies to their doctor. Don't know about Australia, but in Canada it's a crime to practice medicine without a license, and it looks like the boss' actions fall into that category.
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

This one reminds me of Gwendolyn Brooks and her poem "We Real Cool". I'm sure there are those of us here who've seen teachers INSIST on reading it as written, putting breaks after the word "we" instead of of after the period.

You don't have to read it like that; the author didn't. She came to one of my colleges once and read some of her poetry - and I distinctly remembered how she read it. When asked about it, she said you *can* read it the other way (the way teachers insist), but you don't have to.

and this one reads like one of the stories here. ... actually it should be one of the stories here, just so we could nominate it for war stories.

ya that's the one i wished was here so we could vote it for war stories cos that's epic pwnage.

This one is pretty cool too for pwnage - http://notalwaysright.com/developing-arrest/30025
I'm not sure what's funnier... That the supervisor arranged to have the underage wannabe-drinkers handled by the cops, or that the girls had the audacity to ask for the borrowed IDs back - in front of the cops.
