I could only watch about a minute or two of that before I got disgusted. I hope it's a joke, even if it's a poor one.
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

It's probably real. It's not any worse than any other training/sensitivity video ever made by a corporate entity. We've seen some of the stories on here about the occasional employee in stores similar to this (electronics stores, for one) being condescending just because the customer was female and thus "didn't know anything." If this stops even one of those twits from doing it again, I'd say it's worth it.

Besides, someone at GS HQ probably looked at some demographics and said "Holy crap! We need to do more to get these women buying games!" Then wrote this over a weekend. While drunk.

Holy hell. "A symbiotic relationship" with customers? Isn't that something better avoided?

Symbiotic is mutually beneficial. You're thinking parasitic.

Flat out, some employee in a games store comes up to me and suggests Wii Fit, they'll be eating that board.

Oh, so many moments that unintentionally(?) can come across the wrong way.
                • The nervous middle-aged white woman running for the door after being approached by the younger black man.

                • "This is the perfect opportunity to introduce HER to the sharpen-the-mind, shape-the-body promotion going on in store." Yes, her.

                • Is it just me, or does it both look and sound like the narrator is sniffing her marker while moving offstage around 6:20?

There's just a lot of strange delivery in this video which makes certain parts seem more offensive. ...And possibly funnier, too.

Oops *_* Yeah, parasitic is what I was thinking of. Shows what happens when I post before having my coffee.

What irks me is the assumption that there are no female gamers. Yeah, I have breasts. So? Anyone who buys games for me knows what I like, and it's not that stuff.

The magazine selection is even weirder...again, the assumption that all women read those titles...

But he was using that arcane, unintelligible 'gamer jargon' He said "How ya doin'?" I'd run too!

                      Yup, she very much is...

"A dislike of being condesended to" (~1:44)
That phrase in a video like that is just amusing....

It's probably real. It it is well....idk I'm still gonna shop there. The only other option with reasonable prices in my area is WM and I already swore I would never go into WM ever again so.... Bu if it is fake (doubt it) I'd like to know how the mastermind behind it got the employees and manager to go through with it and film when they should be working.

                          DUDE!

Yeah it's a spoof... The low-quality photo montage at the start is a big "spoof" indicator.

                          i'm not offended though...
there's still a few guys out there who haven't figured out how to associate with us females... so they still think girls aren't gamers.

                          however... I did get bored...

(but eh, now if gamestop started selling mac games, i might be interested in the store but... as of yet they don't have any except for the multi-platform blizzard games)

If its' real, it wouldn't surprise me. we had one video that was 6 minutes long the first 2 minutes was music had different phrases along with a a "dancing" version of our logo. The last minute or so was the same.
