A main member of that group, Shirley Phelps, has actually been on Howard Stern's show as part of Howard's group of misfits known as the "Wack Pack". Her goofy "preaching" about gays is so off-the-wall everyone laughs at her and makes fun of her when she's on his show.

In all honesty, I regard those protestors as a sort of SC of the world. Of the nation, if you think about it. There's nothing more unpatriotic than using your rights to impede on someone else's rights.

That said, let them go out and public and get pwnt by a bunch of frat boys.

As Raps himself has said, Phelps and the Westboro Church are fair game on this forum, so have fun.

Just make sure that comments are limited to Phelps and his ilk only, and not towards religion in general.

Not too much of a problem there. The funny thing is that whoever you may be, the odds are good that Phelps doesn't like you. Unless you're a member of his little family church, it's pretty much guaranteed that you're in one group or another that he hates. I can think of at least three categories I personally fall into, none of which the other 99.9% of Christian denominations would find controversial.

The whole world can join hands in brotherhood as sinners, all equally hated in the eyes of Phelps.

Everytime I pass by one of those intolerant groups I just speak really loudly which usually makes Mom look like "I don't know her."
