Natasha Richardson, wife of Liam Neeson, is reportedly brain dead following an accident whilst learning how to ski.

It's so sad...Apparently, she fell on a beginner's ski trail, but seemed fine for awhile. Brain injuries can do that, it's so sad!

I've heard a couple of different reports. Does anyone know if she's actually brain dead, or if that report is BS?

The latest gossip is that she's been taken off life support. I read it on the IMDb.

Apparently, she joked about falling on the beginner hill and then developed a really bad headache a short time later.

From what I heard, nobody even saw her hit her head.

              That's very sad. So young.

(Of course, it's big news here because it wasn't very far away from this area.)
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

It's sad and scary how she seemed fine one minute and then the next she's gone from the injury she had. RIP Natasha Richardson.

Unfortunately, head injuries can be like that.

While you probably needn't rush to the ER for any and every fall, if someone you know does fall, and seems to be okay but then complains of a headache later, don't brush it off.

This is exactly what happened to my wife's friend. She was a Quiet Waters park on their ski ride (a pulley and rope system pulls you around a smal lake while you ski). She fell, got out of the water and she & her husband were back in line for another go.

She was fine, talking etc.. and then told him she suddenly developed a headache and within 5 seconds she collapsed. She spent 6 months in a coma before they pulled the plug.

Young couple, too - late 20s and very successful.
