You don't have a gutter mind, you poor innocent thing, do you?
    I do.

But I had no idea those vanity plates meant something else than what I was trying to make 'em out to be.

Anyone notice the "Stop Global Warming, go Vegan" bumper sticker...on the 18 MPG SUV.

Better then the "NO WAR FOR OIL" bumper I used to see on a V10 Ford Excursion.

        ROFL derangedperson. Nice try.

VGNGRL, VGNGIRL = virgin girl. Nope.

NML LVR = normal lover. Bit strange to be advertising that, but probably on the bannable list.

        NO MEAT = lesbian. Nope.

You don't have a gutter mind, you poor innocent thing, do you?
haha that's exactly what I was reading on all of those! But I have one more my gutter mind came up with.

        NML RTS = Normal rates

          It could just say "Veggie".

          "Ieggev" isn't a word.

That reminds me--during the Presidential campaign last year my parents and sister had a bunch of Obama stickers for their cars and they had an extra so they wanted me to put it on my car. I politely declined.

They kept pressing me, I kept declining. I told them I wasn't much of a fan of either candidate. So then they said "We'll sneak this onto your car while you're at work."

I told them "Do that, and I'll buy a peeing Calvin decal and stick it right next to the Obama sticker."

Oddly enough, they dropped the subject right there. Seriously, nobody decides what goes on my car but me.

I would have threatened to stick that Peeing Calvin sticker in the middle of their windshield.

When I was a teenager, my divorced father and I would play the "dirty license plate game", where we tried to figure out a way to make some sexual innuendo out of a normal, scrambled-letter-and-number plate. Seeing "ILVTOFU", we'd have immediately gone with the "I Love to Fuck You!!" thing. So, I understand why the DMV denied that. And that's why the only personalization I like to have on my tags is the special "Military Veteran" plates I can get.

My cousin denied 6ULDV8 when he was doing work experience at the DMV. See if you can figure out why. Around here there is one car that has an Arabic swear word (I know because an Arabic-speaking coworker nearly peed his pants when he saw it).

And yet, there are 1000 XES- and WTF- plates that came through standard issue...

More standard issue hilarity: My sister's old car had the first three letters of our surname, and my cousin's Nissan Skyline had YOB-0?? (I forget the other two numbers). And a friend of mine has TMI.

As for personalisation of cars, mine has one of these.

6ULDV8 was allowed in NZ. I've seen it around town several times. I always wondered why on earth anyone would want to advertise that.

I'm not surprised - my cousin, the work experience boy, spotted it after it had been approved. He then told his supervisor what it meant.

Please enlighten me oh great edible

And in regards to the XES or WTF plates...think about the fact that the new issued ones go like this:

                        S <number> <three letter>

                        So eventually, we might get

                        S <696> <SEX>

I'll laugh when I see that one

and a bit but my parents licence plates before we got new cars were the standard state-issued ones, but spelt out WORM and WHIP when you read them. I kid you not.

                          DV8 = deviate

You won't get S6969SEX. The local authority in your part of the world will not produce every possible sequence in a plate series. Those that spell 'naughty' things are denied, same as for personalised ones.

I'm pretty sure no country in the world permits the S then E then X sequence in even non-personalised plates.

ACLU wants to know what's on Colorado DMV's Naughty List and perhaps raise freedom of speech issues.
