  • Circuit City as a dot com!?

Best Buy shaking in its proverbial boots? Circuit City coming back as a dot com?

Statement how Circuit City is under new management (at the circuit city dot com website)

Is anyone excited about this? I am ... I preferred Circuit City over Best Buy for certain things (mainly because I could find a parking spot and the sales people were friendlier even if they realized we were just looking at the moment and not buying OMG right now).

My hubby told me yesterday that SYSTEMAX (or the company that owns them) had bought Circuit City. So TigerDirect.com and Newegg.com will have lots of stuff added to thier online inventories? IDK. Just what he said.

My family stopped frequenting CC 15 years ago. My mom went to buy a new dishwasher only to realize after installation it was a floor model. She was not happy to say the least and threatened litigation. She got a brand-new one PDQ.
        Testing

Be careful if do decide to buy something there. There is a no returns (at all) with many of their products. Sorry. I can't be bothered to find the link right now.

          From CircuitCity.com:
"Some manufacturers have implemented returns restrictions that prevent CircuitCity.com from being able to accept returns or offer exchanges, replacements or credits on their products for any reason. Please check the item listing on our website to determine if special return policies are applicable to your products. Support as well as exchanges or replacements for products with manufacturer or supplier restrictions, including within the first 30 days of ownership, must be handled directly with the product manufacturer or supplier. You can find the manufacturer or suppliers contact information in your product manual, in the item listing, on the manufacturer's website or at our help center ."

          And a 25% restocking fee:
"Non-qualified and non-conforming returns are not included in CircuitCity.com return policy and, if returned, will be rejected or subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% at CircuitCity.com's sole discretion."

The chain that won't die, for now. I wonder if we will maybe see brick-and-mortar Circuit City's again, similar to CompUSA where the new management re-opened some stores. http://www.compusa.com/retailstores/...ores/index.asp
