  • Daily Mail UK Newspaper Article on Retail Workers Hating Customers

Check this out.....................todays UK Daily Mail runs an article page 29/30 titled "What the smiling shop assistant REALLY thinks of you"????????????

And guess what.......they are actually defending the SC's!!!!!! What??? Have these idiots ever worked in the retail industry??

The article bangs on about the amount of groups on Facebook that slag off the customer, telling all the usual horror stories that we are all used to. They obviously don't know about sites like this.

Well silly reporter from the Daily Mail, shouldn't you have found out the other side of the story?? Shouldn't you have spoken to a few poor retail workers and found out how day in and day out they are subjected to thousands of asshole customers who treat workers like slaves, there to do their bidding and be stepped on mentally and sometimes physically??? If you had a brain cell, then you'd have realised that these days, working in retail/service industries is as dangerous a job as most others. In fact, as retail workers, we are more likely to be physically or verbally attacked than a member of the police!!!! Shocking but true. Every single day, a retail/service industry worker is verbally/physically attacked every two minutes.........But of course, the sucky customer is ALWAYS right
In a perfect world the customer would always be right but this world is not perfect and the customer is always f***** mental!!!!

Do you have a link, as some of us don't get that rag? I don't read it for the reason that the Mail always seems to be slagging off someone or other. -.-

We had something similar in Australia. Good lord...over 200 comments on it...
Honestly, I really wish they'd let us speak out. But even then, maybe just leave CS.com for those who stumble upon it...

            The last line is right:

Well, perhaps the customer isn’t always right.

Think you can comment on the Mail; I have done, a couple of times. It's moderated tho, so don't be too rude... XD

I've put in a comment on there myself. For some reason, I felt I needed to.

If said comment is derogatory to The Daily Hate Mail it won't get approved, I know that one from experience.

I do think the ideal headline for this rag would read thusly.

ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!

Oh, don't forget that house prices are going to plummet as well. Or is that the Express? I think they alternate between that and Princess Diana stories.

Postman Nigel also resents members of the public trying to strike up some light-hearted banter: ‘What about when they say to you: “I don’t want any bills postie.” Oh ha ha ha, how original, my sides ache every time I hear that one.’
"So did ja bring me any checks?" is a big one too.

I don't think there's an awful lot of difference between the two to be honest.

I do love the fact they are attempting to categorise every conceivable object into two camps; those that cause cancer and those that cure it.

However it would appear that from time to time they get a little confused.

Always worth reading www.badscience.net when thinking about articles such as that. Takes them to pieces with remarkable amusement.

Most certainly, just finished reading his book, a very entertaining read! Shows how abysmal the reporting is generally for The Daily Hate Mail.
