    Based on the curve and planter setup, it's probably a separate bar island as opposed to being up against the service area. I've seen those in some places, though it's fairly rare.

        My brother and his friends once had that happen at Friendly's. They got to the point where they only stayed because they had nothing better to do and wanted to see how long it took..

          The only problem with this whole scenario? After 20 years in customer service and retail, I know how the mind of a Sucky Customer works, and how fucked up their perception of time is. 5 minutes in a SC's mind = 1 minute of ACTUAL time.

          So, the asshat that wrote that actually only waited 6 minutes!
