Wait...that was written at a BAR in the place, unless my eyes deceive me. How could someone not be noticed (either for service, or for doing this) there...? Was there nobody manning the bar itself?

Based on the curve and planter setup, it's probably a separate bar island as opposed to being up against the service area. I've seen those in some places, though it's fairly rare.

Me and a friend thought about doing that one late night at the local Steak and Shake. We waited 45minutes before being served. Only reason we stayed was because it gave us a chance to catch up and it was the only place open without having to drive 2 cities over >.<

My brother and his friends once had that happen at Friendly's. They got to the point where they only stayed because they had nothing better to do and wanted to see how long it took..

The only problem with this whole scenario? After 20 years in customer service and retail, I know how the mind of a Sucky Customer works, and how fucked up their perception of time is. 5 minutes in a SC's mind = 1 minute of ACTUAL time.

So, the asshat that wrote that actually only waited 6 minutes!
