Various mobile phone companies in Europe come to a voluntary agreement standardising the charger.

That's been in the works, failed, and so on in the US for many years. I've seen 3 or 4 "universal" chargers come and go in my time but right now micro USB seems to be the standard.

You'd think that this would be a money-maker for them. Once chargers are universal, they can stop including them with EVERY phone they sell, and make them an additional purchase if you need one.

Personally, I'd like to see the universal come about. I've got a dozen lying around myself from phones or blue-tooth headphones.
