  • This is scary...

    Article.

This happened literally about 2 minutes from where I live. The road they had closed off was the one I was planning to take to get home. I didn't know what was going on at the time (all I saw was a cop car and some orange cones, and a guy with what looked like surveyor's equipment; there were two helicopters hovering above, but they were too high up for me to tell if they were news or police or what) but my roommate's friend sent her the article yesterday. Another article I saw said she had been identified as a 42 year old woman but did not give her name because of family-notification issues.

Wowsers. You just never know what you're going to find out. since living in Houston I've discovered I was in a class with a murderer, that some guy killed and barbecued his girlfriend in an apartment complex down the road, and a woman kidnapped a girl from a daycare 15 minutes away from me.

what a world, BE. <hugs> I'd find it scary, too.

Earlier this year, there was a murder just up the road from my house. It is definitely unnerving when it is close to home.
