  • Fire bad, okay

I checked for both of these and am mildly surprised no one else has posted them.

The following are both lessons on why flammable substances and fire don't mix well

I think the "Driver lights cigarette near propane tank..." says enough.

Second, a woman used a lighter to check the level of gas in a can she was filling.... I think you can guess what happened.

That second one's getting so common it's no longer even eligible for a Darwin Award any more unless there's extenuating circumstances.

Another "fire is bad" story appears in the news story in this post.

I know people can be pretty brain-rotted stupid, but who doesn't know that fire is hot and burns?! I mean, what else is fire?!

People like this are just Darwin Awards waiting to happen.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Both of these seem to be "they believed the flammable stuff was contained" stories. The fact that *vapors* are flammable is what escapes these morons.
