    Quoth Article
His defence barrister, Peter Asteris, told the hearing Caton did not intend to injure anyone, which was why he spoke to the security guard.
Intend? HE DROVE A DAMN CAR THROUGH A STORE DURING BUSINESS HOURS!!

I'm sorry, but if you do that then one of two things needs to happen: 1)Go to jail for being a dangerous criminal or 2) Go to a sanitarium for being a danger to yourself and others.
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

"I'm trying not to endanger anyone". My ass. He still endangered people by driving his car in the store during business hours out of spite to the business. Doesn't matter how he looks at it. Those 16 months in jail ought to put him in check. Jackass.

Holy crow... It's too early for this one. He did that over a BED AND CABINET that were not delivered? And a bill? Pobrecito! Nothing like that has ever happened to anyone ever! If the pregnant woman which the article mentions miscarries because of the shock, then I hope she sues him into oblivion. That's just too terrible. Definitely the ultimate EW.

For a second there I was trying to figure out where a Tesco was in New Hampshire (and Andover, Mass is just over the border, too).

I wasn't going to put him on the top of the SC chain until I read this:
Caton had asked a security guard how long it would take to evacuate the building shortly before he made two attempts to crash into the store as terrified shoppers fled, causing damage which cost more than £21,000 to repair, the court heard.
He made multiple attempts. This should prove that he was of sound mind and thinking clearly when he did it. That is not a "snap" like he wanted people to think - a snap would have been ramming the store and then flooring the gas pedal.

I think in the US if the lady who was pregnant miscarriages because of this - he could also be charged with vehicular manslaughter in which 16 months in jail and no driving for 5 years would be a slap on the wrist.
