        Some people have this weird idea that Racoons are cute/cuddly creatures. Ok, they are cute but they're also extremely dangerous and can carry Rabies.

              Yes... because he'd be holding the kid by his ankles in that case, I'm sure. Further, the dad wouldn't be leaning forward, he'd be leaning back to yank the kid backwards. Explanation fail.

                The police called her husband and he refused to bail her out - he said she can stay there.

                From the article:
                Duclos' husband, Joseph, who was at work at the time, was upset about the accusations. He said nothing to defend his wife while outside their home early Thursday afternoon.

                "She's stupid," he said, placing the two children, who appeared to be in good health, into an SUV just a few yards away from the minivan. "She did a stupid thing."
                At least he has some sanity - other than marrying her!
