Deviant Art, Anyone?

So I set up a DeviantArt account a few months ago, then didn't do anything with it. I finally remembered some halfway decent sketches I did (mostly while bored sitting in a control room at work) and posted them in my gallery.

I know we have some artistic types around here, so I'll show you mine if you show me yours

I've got some other stuff laying around I may add. Mainly concept pieces for stories that I will either A) Never write, or B) won't be able to do anything with if I do write them.

Yeah, I've always got some laying around. When I get bored and there is a pencil and paper in reach, I get my sketch on. Usually just random "characters." If you can't tell, I had a lot of influence from anime and manga. I tried cartoony way back when and didn't quite like it. Then I went more realistic, which is just a pain in the ass if doing character designs/mini-comics. Tried out the Marvel style for a bit, but I didn't like every single character having god-like physical qualities. In middle school, I found anime (you can imagine that Kansas was slow to provide this) and that seemed like the perfect fit.

I've got a wide range of stuff. The two characters featured are my first foray into 'modern/futuristic" designs (that is, I don't do guns, mecha, and so on). Some are like old friends to me, they're from partially written stories. Some are slightly embarrassing, like my ideas for a Sailor Moon fanfic (shut up).
