  • Britain's most unfortunate names

Why do people do these things to their kids?

Barb Dwyer, Stan Still, Carrie Oakey, Bill Board...

I didn't get that Barb Dwyer at first. Then I said it a little faster.

Some of them make me have to think about it. Saying them fast make it easy.

I feel sorry for kids with names like these.

A play on "trees are green", maybe?

I still think back to a NH senator's name when I lived there,

                  Dick Swett.

                  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Swett

                  As for the article:
Helen Back - this is the best one.
Max Power - must have been a Simpsons fan.

John Stewart did a whole routine about that guy's name a couple of weeks ago.

On Failblog recently, there was a "Name Fail" for a British officer named Major Dickie Head...

                        Found it...

Kinda makes me think of those prank names that Bart Simpson used for his prank calls to Moe's bar like....Amanda Huginkiss, Al Coholic, Hugh Jass. I do feel sorry for the people whose parents gave them those names, but it's tame compared to incredibly crazy ones like Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii or Sex Fruit....yeah.

We have a regular named Plymouth Rock. "Have fun with it," he told me as he rolled his eyes.

I also used to know a family named Hickenbottum. The father's name was Harold, but he went by Harry, and he married a woman named Rosie. Put those together now...
