    Baby owls at Lowes. Mom and dad have been living there for a while, built a nest on a pallet up on a high rack, and well, you know what happens after that.

              This actually isn't that uncommon - grocerey stores are notorious for having birds in them.

              But, look at it this way and it's even mentioned in the article - they don't harm the merchandise and keep vermin that will away.

                  I'm sure it's not beyond the realms of possibility for a hardware store to rig up a tarp under the nest to prevent droppings/pellets from being deposited...
                  A PSA, if I may, as well as another.

                    I have to admit, this is extremely nice of them - many stores (and managers) would tell them to move it anyway. I noticed some of the commends that people will now drive out of their way to support this store - I know I would.
