  • Not the best children's movie title.

So took my boys to see How to Train your dragon this weekend. Loved it!
But there was a preview for a movie with Brenden Fraser and I have to say that whoever titled it was either clueless or maybe trying to be extra funny??

I've seen commercials for this a few times. The whole thing looks pretty dumb to me.

First, the vast majority of the world has no idea what "furry fandom" even is, much less the craptacular bullshit that passes for journalism that's been done about it, so I doubt anyone not net-savvy would even blink.

Second, the vast majority of these "funny animal" movies stink. I think Homeward Bound is the only exception I've come across.

Man, Brendan Fraser's gone downhill. I mean, The Mummy series is ridiculously over the top, but they're all decent action fare. I almost feel sorry for him.

The Mummy series are classic swashbucklers. They're perfect, in that sense.

I actually picked up one of his movies lately called Inkheart.

I'd never heard of it, and after watching it, I'm not surprised.

It's not a bad movie at all, it just has way too many literary references in it for the vast majority of today's movie goers to appreciate.

Check out the books it was based on. He did pretty good for the character.
