You're on. There's no sign of tar in the rig, which turns the dust a sort of reddish brown. (makes it sticky as well)Quoth Andara Bledin View PostWhat do you want to bet that the owner of that thing smoked?
A lot.
The machine is either very old or was in a very dusty place. Most likely the former, considering I think the CPU is at the most powerful an AMD-K2 and the expansion slots are all ISA format.
And for even more nastiness (link is SFW, though you might wish it wasn't.)

that makes me want to sneeze just looking at it.
i used to test printers. duration, mostly. but there was a chamber called "the dust chamber" and it tested just that. to see how long the printers held up in dusty environments. they had a special dust they used...very expensive. weird stuffIf you want to be happy, be. ~Leo Tolstoy

Hm, the ex smoked like a chimney and the crap in our machines was never really reddish at all and not at all sticky, either.Quoth lordlundar View PostYou're on. There's no sign of tar in the rig, which turns the dust a sort of reddish brown. (makes it sticky as well)
Of course, not everything smoked there was tobacco... and there were pets...
We've only got the 2 cats, now, and no smokers, so we only have to worry about the frightfully fast build-up of cat hair in the grills.
