  • If Restaurants were Honest

Can I just take a moment to thank the first person who posted a link to Cracked.com? I am in love with this website! Allow me to post their most recent gem:

    My favorites are #5, #7, #17, #19, and #21.

#21 reminds me of my college days, when I worked the graveyard shift at Perkins (it's basically Denny's with a bakery). I remember all of the drunk college students coming in, making lots of noise, leaving lousy tips, and throwing up all over the bathroom. My manager got so fed up that she started telling anyone who threw up outside of the toilet to clean up their own mess. She was one of those tough old Italian broads who could be really scary when she wanted to, and the customer was usually pretty embarrassed, so they'd do it without protest

Aside from their food is crap, the service is why my wife and I no longer patronize that Perkins. As such, this doesn't surprise me.
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

Yeah, even heavily intoxicated Perkins is much too skeevy for me. There's too many other places in this town to get cheap, drinking food.

Unfortunately, in this town Perkins is the only place to get drunk food, other than some skeezy 24-hour joint not too far from me.

This is how it is since Bitchin' Kitchen went out of business.

Some of those are fairly accurate! I've never had problems with Taco Bell though.

I've been to Perkin's once or twice, but the food doesn't have much flavor and once it took us 5-minutes just to find an employee in the place to seat us!

No one drank on the job when I worked at Perkins. They were too stoned

A friend of mine delivered pizzas in college and often got tips in the form of a joint. Since he usually spent his tips on weed anyway it was a very convenient arrangement.

In all my time at Perkins I went to work drunk only once: the day of the Fort Collins (CO) Microbrew Festival, where you could sample beers from all over the Western U.S.A. I couldn't say no to that! Besides, I was just busing tables that day, and being drunk actually made it fun.
