  • Moonbase Alpha - NASA Videogame, FREE!

Some of you might get a kick out of this

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/39000/

It's a NASA made moon base disaster game. The site can explain more than I can, It's pretty good considering it's free.

Heh, this reminds me too much of those "Government runs games" theories to find god people.

    What's "Steam" BTW?

Steam is an online game distribution client made by Valve.

      http://store.steampowered.com/about/

Has more info than I could tell you, though registration is free.

You don't have to buy any games at all, but the sales they have are fantastic at times though and, you can redownload and reinstall from their servers and unlimited amount of times, for free.

Is it wrong that I was expecting something modelled by Gerry Anderson?
"Kamala the Ugandan Giant" 1950-2020 • "Bullet" Bob Armstrong 1939-2020 • "Road Warrior Animal" 1960-2020 • "Zeus" Tiny Lister Jr. 1958-2020 • "Hacksaw" Butch Reed 1954-2021 • "New Jack" Jerome Young 1963-2021 • "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff 1949-2021 • "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton 1958-2021 • Daffney 1975-2021

I would love to see a cartoon or a video game done in CGI but made to look like Supermarionation.

First thing that went through my mind (and stuck there) was the theme to Space 1999
            Arp happens!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

Funnily enough, this is just the precursor to a NASA MMO

Lol. I had the same thought. Unfortunately it's on steam, and I refuse to have anything to do with them.

How come, if I may ask, I've been using Steam for 6 years now and hardly ever had a problem (only notable ones are on release days of really popular games and one time when lightning struck the building the Steam servers are hosted in)

For exactly the secondary reason you mentioned. IF for some reason the Steam servers are unavailable (lightning strike, power outage, company going out of business and shutting down) then all the games you've purchased through them are suddenly useless.

If I'm going to buy a game, I don't want it dependent on connecting to the company remotely for any reason. It's unnecessary, and uncalled for.

Valve have always said that if they do go out of buisness, they will release patches to allow you to play, besides, worse comes to worse and you really want to play, you can pull out your ethernet cable temporarily and load steam in offline mode.
