i think the article is trying to say all of this isnt needed but if you really want it be smart.
Like personalized M&Ms might cost you i 60 bucks to get 35 ozs but if you mixed them with regular that s a cute little table setting and you would be able to make little i odnt know 2.5-5 ounce place settings for 50 people at about 125 dollars, not bad seeing as that about 2.5 a person.
You usually go to a salon that will do your hair and makeup and nails for about a 100-125 dollars and it would only be about 40 dollars more than just a manicure and a special style.
If you want formal then renting inst that bad.
a black Sedan you rent or borrow could be nice. Renting is usually only like 35 dollars for a day and you get a grooms men to be your driver for the little bit of time you need one how is that low class?
a wedding planner is just someone that helps manage your bookings it can be a professional or a friend. but usually unless you want to take a week or two of work it usually easied to at least have some one help you with the planning even ifs your mother fiance and/or best friend.
personally i think grooms cakes are tacky but if you want one go for it. Id rather just have a crazy unique wedding cake and not spend that extra 100 dollars on a second cake.
Haveing little special gifts for each other that arent the rings is usally nice, but you dont need to go pricey. If your fiance likes teddy bears you buy her a small crystal teddy bear for like 50 bucks, or if he like motorcycles buy a Harley Davidson wallet.
Guest books are for you so if you want something fancy you can go with fancy but i would have cheap pens for the guest to use and a fake nice pen for the memory box, those special guest book pens tend to really suck they where lying.
and Diamond bands are only tacky if you are getting a diamond band to say LOOK AT ALL THE MONEY HE SPENT ON ME BECAUSE I WANTED IT!! If it is a good quality band or complement the engagement ring or is a band you would be ok with wearing by its self and it make you feel special then its ok. just dont try to go bigger than everyone else.

weddings are WAY off in the horizon for me. However, the boyfriend and I have both agreed on one thing for our wedding: it'll be a fantasy/medieval themed wedding. Since it more or less combines his love for medieval culture with our love of fantasy games.
