or 6 Words That Need to Be Banned from the English Language

There are words that I just don't like...who knew there was a term for it?
I don't go in for ancient wisdom
I don't believe just 'cause ideas are tenacious
It means that they're worthy - Tim Minchin, "White Wine in the Sun"

Funny, none of those words bother me in the least.

I agree though, I did not know about word aversion. There are several words I don't like: Belly and Do-rag. They just flat out annoy me.
    Dull women have immaculate homes.

Those words don't bother me..but stupid words like man-scaping and metrosexual definitely should be banned. I know what manscaping means but to me it sounds like somebody's taking a lawnmower to a man's back or other regions or even freaking pruning shears like they're doing gardening instead of a makeover. Metrosexual...who the hell came up with that crap?!! Metrosexual makes me think of somebody who prefers trains over humans in terms of sexual orientation.

Yolk doesn't bother me, but the picture of it does. Ugh.

I like yolk. Especially poached with the rest of the egg, in butter, so I can flip the egg cup onto some toast, cut the egg apart, and have a nice, yummy breakfast in under five minutes.

Actually most of his words don't particularly bother me, either.

For some reason, I don't like word "slacks"...

And now I've got They Might Be Giants stuck in my head.

Is it odd that the word "awkward" has an awkward spelling?
