He was such a great dramatic actor for so many years. If he starred in some Made for TV movie in the 70's, then you knew that there would be at least one good performance.
It was such a joy for him to blossom as this incredibly whacked out funny actor. I'm glad that his career just kept getting better and better.To seek it with thimbles, to seek it with care;

I love the scene in The Naked Gun where he searches through a desk drawer and exclaims dramatically, "Bingo."
