  • Oh boy....

So I took a trip out of town to spend some of my Christmas cash and gift cards, right?

Turns out the first mall I went to went on lockdown and closed early apparently not too long after I left.

    Heh.

Irv, why did you cause such a commotion?!

It sounds like it happened well after I left. I was probably back home when it happened. It sounds like the mall closed at 5:40 in the evening or so.

(I'm getting this from the radio and sources other than the article linked.)

*sigh* I hate it when I read the comments in articles on news sites, I really need to stop doing that.
People are blaming other races on the one king4aday posted. Granted I don't know what area Irv lives in and if it's predominately white, black, or purple people eaters but I really don't think this should have to do with race. Teens any color rich or poor are going to do something like that if their family doesn't raise them correctly.

I honestly can't blame the mall for doing curfews, its better then having stores giving up and leaving then letting the kid's run free in a empty mall. Its not like the teen friendly stores will stick around either, the little amount they make off the kids won't make up for the fact that their are so many trouble makers around stealing, breaking things, and forcing the employees to babysit to make sure nothing happens.

If teens and their parents are upset about that, the only ones I feel sorry for are the mature kids who handle themselves well in public, but if they were the ones causing issues well, that's your own problem and you created it.

I guess I will quit complaining about the idiot teens at the mall here.

The quaint little mall here is sure a place for bored and restless teens to run amock and destroy stores, there's never been anything like that happening around here yet.

              Wow.

I'm glad I tend to restrict my mall shopping to during school hours.

Last time I went to the local mall was back in early November and that was the first time in over a decade.

I don't recall running into a lot of teens that day, but then they were probably still in school.
