...now the dog is afraid to go outside at night.

        Poor thing...

But on the other hand, who in their right mind takes their TINY dog outside for a walk in the snow in the middle of the night (coat or no)? That's a pet owner fail right there, and it's a good thing that poor dog didn't end up paying his life for that.

He's gotta go out somewhere...we'd clear a space in the edge of the grass for Pablo if there was a lot of snow. He didn't like it but he had enough problems with house training thanks to Ex that we weren't going to encourage him to forget that he wasn't allowed to go in the house. We didn't take him for actual walks in that kind of weather (little dogs can get plenty of exercise running around the house) but he still had to do his business outside. And he had a sweater.

If he's gotta go, you gotta take him out; 6am, 1am, or 12pm. Pet owner fail would be ignoring his pleas to go out and forcing him to make a mess on the floor.

Reminds me of the dachshund getting picked-up by the bald eagle; luckily it dropped him!

We had some neighbors move in a few years ago & they had a chihuahua....for about 3 days.

That's how we met them, they came by asking if we'd seen their dog,I told them the dog was gone, the woods are full of coyotes & there's a big owl living 200 yards away, not to mention the hawks (redtails are HUGE) during the day.

So they got another one, which again promptly disappeared.

We've lost 4 cats, including one that had lived here for 9 years, something finally got him,our dogs have always been too big for even the coyotes to take on.

Why is it nobody thinks of the poor Owl that had to go hungry that night?
