Why the hell was HE fired... WARNING racist terms used

So a postal worker was fired for refusing to take back a certified letter that a woman already signed for. He taped it on his phone. She slaps him and, call him a N word and tells him why black people are so stupid and uneducated. There is a lot of offensive racist terms used. And worst of all he was fired for this.

i have a few mixed feelings on this, on both of their behaviors. so i wrote up a fratching on it.

I'm with the carrier on this one - once the woman signed for the certified letter it becomes her responsibility to make sure it gets to the addressee. All the carrier has to do is make sure that the address is right and that the person lives there. In this case it was the woman's husband so she can legally sign for it. Perhaps if he didn't live there that would be another story completely.

I'll agree with this - she signed for it, no one forced her to sign for it and she had every opportunity to refuse it before signing for it. She accepted it.

Mail carrier or not she was making credible threats to him as well as assault and battery. Both are illegal.
