    Touching story...

    ...and so sad.

    I cried when I read the story.


    "After 21 years together Shiba the lioness spends hours grooming her dying mate before he was euthanised at Pittsburgh Zoo"
    Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

    Me too - oh, the pictures of them with her pressing her head against his.
    Engaged to the sweet Mytical He is my Black Dragon (and yes, a good one) strong, protective, the guardian. I am his Silver Dragon, always by his side, shining for him, cherishing him.

        That top picture is so beautiful, and so sweet. Poor lioness must be heartbroken.

          What makes this story even sadder is lions mate for life... Shiba may never be loved again...

          And yes, I knew that just off the top of my head, though I did go double check first.

            A very beautiful story about two amazing lions, thanks for sharing it! Poor lioness, she'll be sad for some time, but she'll be okay. She seems like one strong cat.

            And lions don't really mate for life, they ate mated til the next young upstart takes over the pride...but these two may have been rare....
