  • Now this is the ULTIMATE sucky grocery customer

I know some of you are "retired" or former grocery workers. One of my friends on Twitter sent me this link, which is hilarious by the way, of a woman who used over $800 in coupons. Can you imagine ringing through that many coupons? Ugh!

Are there any current/former grocery employees who have had to deal with this type of customer? I would love to hear how long it took and if you purposefully took a little bit longer to scan the items...

Dude, I don't even have the space to put all that stuff!

Frankly, I'm convinced there's something mentally wrong with these "extreme couponers." Unless you're donating the stuff you're using the coupons on, why do you need so much?

            Om nom nom Mustard!

Well... I'm glad she saved money. Maybe she can save that $800 and put it towards an education!
If I remember the quote right...
"Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."

I'd rather spend the $800 on food. Why? Because I know I would be using the things I bought, not stacking them neatly at home. Whats she gonna do with all that crap anyway? Display it to her friends when they come around?

"And here is all the mentos I got."
"Errr... All this stuff is stale and moldy. Why are you keeping it all?"
            "BECAUSE I SAVED $800!"

                I'm confused.

Unless she posted pics of her purchases herself how did he get pictures of the items in her home ?

I don't understand what the big deal is about using all of those coupons. A lot of those folks donate the items to charity. Personally, I admire their ability. I wish I had time to do it myself.

Yes, it may suck to have to ring out all of those items and the coupons. But that is what you're paid for and as long as she wasn't nasty or bitchy why complain about having to do extra work ?

It's nuts, I occasionally see people with about $50 worth, but half of them are either expired or for items they didn't actually buy, just trying to slip them through the cracks.

I firmly believe that the people on Extreme Couponers go immediately to Hoarders.

My issue with it is that these people's hobbies are causing stores to suspend coupon stacking and combining causing people who actually use it out of financial necessity to be SOL.

Ok and I don't know what's up with my quote button but the pics are from the couponer's blog.

I noticed today that the Fundie Church near me is having a "couponing workshop"...

                        Coupon is not a verb.

For a few weeks I believe Hoarders followed Extreme Couponers. It really is no different, with the exception that is is semi-organized and not thrown in piles of rotting crap on the floor.
