I knew he wouldn't live forever - but I guess I had my hopes. He was marvelous.

        96 y.o. wow!

Harry Morgan was one of those actors who could play whoever he damn well pleased, as you can see from his extensive resume./
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Wooow. I thought he'd live forever. Sad to hear but damn, he lived to a nice, old age.

MASH - one of the few things I have ever made a point of switching the TV on to watch. Had me helpless with laughter and crying my eyes out. RIP Colonel Potter, love you lots.

He was also hilarious in his pre-Colonel Potter appearance as General Steele, the thoroughly nuts commander who wanted to move the unit closer to the front. When he discovers the latrine has more than one seat, he remarks, "Good. The men can encourage each other."

I liked his acting in films and on TV but I lost all respect for him when he was arrested for beating up his wife.

Honestly, this is not so much of a shock considering anyone I've had a discussion with about him the point comes up "he's dead, right?"
