  • mannequin for rescue training (semi graphic)

    Warning: Injuries are fake of course, it's a mannequin, but they try to make it realistic. apparently this thing can be programmed to talk, bleed, etc. (personally I think the thing would have been screaming in pain vs going "*moan* my arm" but ... they want to train people to rescue, not to freak them out.

    Scenario in video: "worker" has arm trapped in quarry equipment.

    In my opinion, pretty cool really cos... as they say in the navy "you fight how you train" so making training realistic without causing an unsafe condition is pretty cool.

    That's a neat mannequin. Shame though, no more painting people up like they were in car accidents or ramin noodle intestines...

      True, although... I'm sure it's going to be hard to find any human volunteer who'd be willing to shove his arm into quarry machinery just to help train the rescue team. i mean just in case the stuff shifts and traps it for real or something like that.
