This is amazing. @_@ So far, I've seen bison at the Detroit Zoo and paintings at the Getty Center.

Yeah, that's the only downside I'm seeing to this thing. Otherwise, it's pretty darn awesome.

I think that's the upside! I can already go where I WANT to go... I like the surprise element.

Cool, I just ended up in a place I recognised! The Tate in London

Also, even more magical, as I recently had a new door installed by the secret door company.

          *Goes to inspect it carefully*
          Arp happens!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

Bleeargh. XD Apparently, some of the places it'll send you are creepy. I just got a wax museum.

One place I got was a building somewhere in Japan with the insides covered in a thick layer of silt. I'm assuming it's from tsunami damage.

Another was a Street View that was actually taken from a camera mounted on the end of a narrow-gauge railway wagon in the Swiss Alps, evidently being propelled by the FLIRT EMU visible behind it. Following the line took it through a spiral tunnel.

I got one that was apparently the back of a Chinese (I think) gift shop, overlooking a gorgeous waterfall. 4 men standing off to the side, taking pictures of the waterfall.

I wish it had information on the locations. I would love to know where that was.

Somewhere in the corner of the image there should be a faint Google logo - click that and it'll take you to the same location in the normal Google Maps system.

Thanks, Chromatix. Now I wish I had noticed that before.

I got the Coliseum in Rome on my 1st try.

Sadly, no one was battling to the death.

I guess. However, it would be pretty cool to be able to type in something like 'Leap Castle' or 'Tokyo Tower' or 'Sydney Opera House' and get a virtual tour of the place. XD
