Can people please, out of courtesy for others, please shrink down your pictures to a manageable size?

It's not that difficult.
Adding as an attachment works even better.

Speaking only for myself, and I am unanimous in this... what constitutes a "manageable size" is highly debatable from one person to another, depending on a variety of factors, such as the resolution they're running their monitor at, speed of their internet connection (hence the 56K warning), etc.

Considering that I run with fairly high resolutions at work (1280 x 1024) and on my laptop (which has a 16:10 display running at a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200) and as I am using a fairly speedy DSL connection, I personally have no problems with the standard size I'm seeing here.

But, to each their own, and as always, Your Mileage May Vary. I can't remember what messageboard software this board uses, but I'm a member of some boards where pictures over a certain size are automatically scaled down to a more manageable size, and you can then click on the image to enlarge it up to its full, original resolution. The size it gets scaled down to might even be selectable by the individual users. Perhaps something like that could be implemented here?

And again, I would point out that anyone that fails to heed the 56K warning does so at their own risk.

I can't remember what messageboard software this board uses,

VBulletin. We'd have to run it by Raps and Mad Mike to see if something like that can be set up, but it's probably more trouble than it's worth, and we'd be easier off just sticking with the Dialup users warning. That said, we do prefer attachments to hotlinks (using the img tag), since some places get annoyed at their bandwidth being nicked like that. So unless it's your own site, or account on a site (photobucket et al), from here on out, can we keep the hotlinking to a minimum?

Just click on them and they become perfectly readable and it does make browsing/loading stuff much easier. Plus, then I can decide which ones to read...I'm not all that interested in boobs.

What browser are you using? Because most shouldn't have an issue with the overlay. Check your popup blocker, if you have one. That might be interfering with it.

Well, I do have an Imageshack account I recently created. I find Photobucket much easier to use, but I got fed up with their heavy-handed censorship, so I decided to try Imageshack.

Let's give this a try and see if it works... new one I just made out of an old image I rediscovered in my archive of digital pictures.
