Section 3 (In Character)

Gah.
Not having trained much with Quake-- or either Alex for that matter-- she was startled, to put it mildly, by the exact effect. With a name like Quake, she expected that, but actually seeing and experiencing it was another thing. Ananda nodded, it made sense-- it wouldn't be worth it since actually taking the item in question, intact, would be a mission far more difficult than just killing thugs or extracting prisoners. After all, objects couldn't move, and who knew how huge this thing was. New tech tended towards clunkyness, simply because good engineering produced simplicity and elegance, which newly engineered stuff wasn't that refined yet.
They also tended to explode.

[Kheldarson]

Kate wasn't in the room when Alex finally came out of his funk, so blinks when she comes back in with the scissors she was looking for. "Where'd everybody go?"

[Kanalah]

The medium sized brown dog at her side does it's best impression of a canine shrug, then sniffs at the floor.

[Kheldarson]

"Kind of hard to talk to you like that Samantha..."


((What does Sam think of being petted or scratched while in animal form?))

[Kanalah]

The dog grinned and sat down, changing back into a young woman. "Yeah but the smells are different. Seems like they were here, and now they aren't. I don't smell anything new."

((I would think it's similar to a human hug. It's a positive thing. At least that's what my feline overlord tells me.))

[Kara]

Thelassa stood with her arms crossed, hovering about a foot above the ground. She'd had a pretty good idea why he was called Quake and decided the ground probably wasn't where she wanted to be standing when he hit it. She looked at Alexis, wondering if she could really be that much more powerful than the enormous brute.

"Understood," she said. "Retrieve veapon, neutralize enemy vithout killing them." She then added, "If possible."

[Kheldarson]

((Okay. Then I'll keep that in mind. ^^))

"So...transported then?"

[Kanalah]

She nodded. "Seems that way. But teleported where?" Glancing around the room, up at the ceiling, then down to the floor, she added. "The danger room?"

[Kheldarson]

"Maybe...we could head that way at least. It's better than trying to undo that...scarf thing I'm trying to make again."

[Kanalah]

"I thought you were doing pretty good. I have two left paws when it comes to crafty stuff." She looked around the room again. "So which direction you want to try first?"

[Kheldarson]

"It keeps falling apart. But how about we head there via the meeting room? Maybe they're there. Alex seemed to have come to a decision from what I sensed."

[Kanalah]

"You want to race?" Sam grinned.

[Kheldarson]

"Only if you stay human." She grins back.

[Kanalah]

"But that's not fair." Samantha said, already on all fours and shaking out her shaggy wolf fur.

[Kheldarson]

"And you being a creature that can go faster than a human is?" Highlights the statement with a small surge of a emotion that can be described as pouting.


((Thinking she practices the emotion manipulation by teasing with it. So it's just a short burst to emphasize how she's feeling, not to actually manipulate))
