Clark rolled and tried to get to his feet. The EOD armor made that a difficult feat, but he managed it. Ninety extra pounds was heavy, but he'd rucked just that around hanging off his own butt only a few years prior.
"Shoot this D*** thing!" He shouted into his radio as he tried to broadside the thing against a corner, trying to dislodge it.

Sarah looks at the object strangely, before glancing at the person.
"Can I touch....what ever the bloody ancients that is?"

In That Room With Doyle And Silver And The Other Guys
Black shakes his head and straightens up from looking at the spot the object had been. "Anyway, you wanted something, Fred?"
Tolami and not the glasses anymore
He takes the glasses back from her. "Ah... as for what not to touch... preferably you avoid touching any object you don't know the function of. Also, anything from Harmonics. Even Harmonics researchers shouldn't touch things from Harmonics."
He seems to ponder something for a second.
"Actually, that gives me an idea."
He pulls out a box labelled '19-055-127'.
"See what you can do with this."
Upon opening the box, she finds an... object. While nothing prevents her from seeing it, and it clearly has a form, any concept of it beyond that seems impossible to comprehend - as if any knowledge of the object beyond "it is" is blocked from the human mind.
Romanza's Team
"Actually, if you'll let me borrow your phone, I can have research fix it up. The main issue is a network we use and maintain that routes through the transport somehow. I have no idea how it works, but it basically we get perfect service to our own network everywhere and it can't be intercepted. While I take care of that, you can track down Silver."
Cassandra's Team
"We'll keep an eye out for it. But you generally have to be fairly close - maybe 50 feet or so, at most a hundred. And they don't have to see you. It's visual, you have to see them. Anyway, follow me. There's a spot we can pick some things up at." And to skim a bit, Cassandra leads them to what seems to be an antiques store, but they're lead to a backroom with a lot of specialized weapons. It looks like a combination of a collection of Warehouse 13 gadgets and things Van Helsing and Simon Belmont would trade notes on. Except in more disarray and all-around worse repair. So the group finds some things that range from 'antique monster hunter' to 'sci-fi device that's going to be lethal in a thoroughly peculiar way', and really just come up with what you want so long as it's reasonably concealable.
Carson
"First, new recruits are the least likely to be loyal to him, or under suspicion from him. Second, you work directly under and with him, so you'll have many opportunities to watch him. And third, to put it bluntly, of the new recruits, you and Agent Newton seem to hate him the most."
Atlanta Incident
A few shots from outside the building make sure that the cans are opened. When the gas bursts out, most of the spiders in the immediate area start dropping like one would expect, but something seems to go through the group, and the entire mass scatters, every spider heading directly away from the poison... out towards the agents outside. While the gas probably killed thousands of spiders in that brief time - with more fleeing spiders falling as they die from a slower reaction to the toxin - it was at absolute best 20% of the mass, probably far less. And once Clark is clear of the majority of the toxin, something lands heavily on him - the size of a large dog, from the weight of it - from the ceiling and he feels two sharp points trying to penetrate his armor.

"Hell."
As the spiders began to cover him, Clark made his move. He put the box of Spectracide down, took up a can and readied his ACR rifle. He sprayed himself a bit to clear his facemask, then tossed the can of spider-killer up in the air. Before it hit the ground Clark had fired eight rounds at it and the cans in the cardboard box.

Sarah takes them off as it ends, "wow...market THAT into a drug and you could make a fortune!"
she grins, "got anything else I can play with? or at least tell me what I can't touch...I like taking things apart"

Carson
"Can we step in here a moment?" He leads her into a nearby office. "I know this room is secure. I'm from another division, one where Black doesn't have nearly as much influence. Those parts of the Foundation he doesn't have any sway over are concerned. He has an inordinate amount of influence, maintains tight control over information, and has some very suspicious contact with other groups. We need someone to report back to us what he does - without going through channels he controls."
Tolami + Glasses
She sees glimpses of a few more, with it finally ending on one that seems to be some power-fantasy about riding some kind of lizard monster over the land and laying ruin to everything.
Atlanta Incident
He hears only crackling over his radio as it almost sounds like someone is trying to reply. He's also starting to see spiders he can't even recognize - either they're starting to appear from all over the world, or there are some undiscovered species in the local area. However, it does seem like he's near the center of the mass. The area looks almost recognizable as what he saw through Savant's scope display, or at least it would if not for all the spiders on his face plate.
(Get others when I remember what I was doing. Most of my notes were on a now-dead computer.)

Clark walked deeper and deeper into the ediface, more and more bigger and bigger spiders skittering over him. He wasn't afraid of the critters as much as he disliked them.
"Hey, Savant. I think y'all need to know I just saw a one-inch brown recluse crawl into this box. Mind tellin' me something about my location? As in: Do I seem to be under the highest concentration of arachnids?"
Reaching up to tap the side of his helmet to signal a comm-check, Clark crushed a jumping-wolf. When his glove came away gooey, he grimaced, "Yuuuck. Hey! Anyone out there?! Hello?!"Last edited by Tyg3rW01f; 06-25-2012, 08:03 PM.

"It's just a sense I'm getting; could be nothing for all I know. Can't tell what it is. My other job kinda trained me to report anything odd, as usually odd meant something was going to show up and try to eat someone." Terry isn't sure whether she should push the issue, and decides not to for the sake of not digging herself into a hole.
"Never mind. Whatever it was it probably wasn't important. What I was going to ask was, how do these things get into someone's head? Do they need to make eye contact with a target or do they not even need to see someone and there's just a radius that should be kept clear?"Last edited by Dreamstalker; 06-23-2012, 02:44 AM.

"Clark to Savant. Mission is Hotel-Hour Plus. When I put this box down, I want you to be ready to take the shot. Understood?"
The biggest writing spider Clark had ever seen skittered over his lexan faceplate. "Damn. Spiders are getting bigger the deeper I go in."Last edited by Tyg3rW01f; 06-20-2012, 07:59 PM.

Doyle adopts a sing-songy lisp, "Well at leath it didn' eat my arm off." And then puts the object back in his pocket for now.

She nods. "Have a copy or remember where you found it? We'll get Agent Silver in as well, and get you both properly set up for communications. That's the primary detail that Black ignored."
"I remember almost everything I read," Joey replies, "so, yes, I remember where I found it. Let's get the communications set up and everything, and then we'll go find Silver."

Sarah sways slightly at the rapidly changing scenery and keeps up a running commentary as it happens.
