A brunette and a blond, both sisters, share their own cattle ranch. They decide it's time to expand their herd and start looking around for a bull to buy. The brunette sees an ad in the paper that shows a bull for sale several towns over. She decides that she will go, because her sister is on the slow side and could probably get ripped off. She takes the $500 they have left between them and boards the next train.
When she gets to see the bull, the brunette learns that the price is $499. So now she has to figure out how to tell her sister to come pick up the bull. She spots a telegraph post and decides to send a telegram.
Once inside, she asks "How much is it to send a telegram?" The man behind the counter says "$1 a word." "$1 a word? I only have $1. How can I send a telegram for $1?"
"I'm sorry, miss, it's $1 a word," the man says again.
So the brunette thinks...and thinks...and thinks...until she finally utters the word "Comfortable."
"Pardon?" the man asks.
"That's what I want the telegram to say. Comfortable. That's what I'll write."
"I'm sorry, but I don't understand what anyone's going to get from reading that."
"Well, you see, my sister's kind of slow" she says, "and knowing her she will sound it out, 'Come For Ta Bull '."
