What did she claim you DID?! Or what was the problem that she is blaming you for?! You said it was cleaning stuff, right? How is that...

Replacing the blinds (even though the ones that were there when I moved in were in the corner of the living room), made the floor boards pop (old hard wood floors that just one day bent *shrugs*), destroyed a wall with pee that she says was from a dog...and four feet from the floor, destroyed a window sill (that was falling apart from rot and exposed after a hell of a storm), and my favorite one....a dumpster for all this work she needed to contract out. Not a single thing was done but she cried poor and got the garnishment from me where as now it drives me into the "how do I pay everything every month" land. Hell I'm already eating only every other day and its playing hell with my diabetes.Quoth hinakiba777 View Posteek:

Slight update... Mortgage broker, sweetest guy ever, called me and told me he was looking into the house, the title, and everything else. He suggested to find a apartment, rent for a year and then to try again. So I called around and found a apartment complex that has immediate openings, went down and filled out a app. I have a feeling I'm going to get denied but I sure as hell hope not. The big thing is...I can't bring the dogs with me. I've let them down too.

So hey more news...
Talked to a housing specialist in my county. Explained what was going on and without me saying any names he named the landlord. He said if the contract was like the one I signed the money I've put towards the house is gone, 100% gone. That and it took the specialist two years to get out from under the mess the landlord brought down.
So then I called my Mom...who it turns out is in the hospital cause her heart decided to stop twice. While she was wearing a heart harness and it was currently doing EKG's. *twitching* so I'm starting to get frantic but she tells me to stay there and that she has bad news... What could be worse then that you may wonder? They are unplugging my Grandpa John on Friday at around 4:30. Well that FB post one of my cousins made makes sense now.
So I ask if I'm supposed to get there for her and she tells me to stay put unless I want to be there...so I figure ill go to at least be a ride for her since hell I wasn't even supposed to be told.
*sighs*
So then I send out a couple I need hugs and am about to scream txt's. I got some hugs back which was nice. Then the apartment complex calls and is telling me something about my application but hey lets wreck the Bunny some more and I now have two lovely bleeding puncture wound in my leg from a dog who suddenly got very confused at being outside. I think I broke the apartment ladies eardrums and my phone calls are going to voice mail at the moment.
I'm breaking down...I really am breaking down...

Aethian, sending hugs and positive thoughts your way, in the hopes all of this crap turns around.
Regarding your dogs: If you end up not being able to take them to wherever you end up moving to, and don't know anyone that will be able to take them for you, you might want to research pet support and advocacy groups in your area, and see if you can find someone that will Foster them. If it happens to be near where you will be living, you could probably arrange to visit them regularly.

Sorry to hear about all this crap all at once
As far as the house goes, if you were under written lease with the landlord, and the house is being foreclosed on, they have a legal requirement to continue your lease for 90 days (and possibly longer) at the same rent agreement so you can find a new place to live, at least if you're in the US. They can't just throw you out on your ass because the landlord didn't pay taxes. We had to deal with something similar after we moved in here (was a bank screwup and they tried to foreclose on our landlord anyway), so we learned a lot about the applicable laws. Unfortunately, I think it only applies if you had a written lease agreement in effect.
I know things seem bad right now, but you know that saying about karma and bitches? Well the door swings both ways too. Weather the storm and good things will be coming to you, so hang in there. Your lovely CS support crew is here to help, even if we're distant enough to only be able to provide some distractions and maybe a laugh or two to help get your mind off things.
