  • That's pretty accurate

I was glancing at the sidebar ads on a website, and one caught my eye. "I'm investing $117K in one stock! This company is growing faster than Apple, Google and Amazon combined!"

The website at the bottom? fool.com

Foolish investing. The Motley Fool. It does make for some interesting marketing. Good reading and good financial advise.

I do find the ad to be strange (I have not seen it) as that is not the type of advice they give.

My favorites are the very busty college age girls who are apparently very concerned for me to learn a second language. I have to assume this is fairly standard untargeted, undemographical, advertising; I've never been to any learn a language site ever, and I purposely obfuscate any interests anywhere near any social media that I can.

lol. Well, maybe, maybe not Halo. But at least there's a connection there. I'm a pretty red-blooded male, and even I can't see the relationship between larger cup size and a greater incentive to learn another language.

I'm always amused by the "I'm a Mormon" and Christian Mingle ads that show up on the atheist blog I read.
