LOL yes....Rayv and Kisa had talked about swinging on by my area to visit at some point in the future, and were looking into local motels. They happened to comment that they were looking, and that they hoped I didn't burn it down before they got there.

....Aaaand, it just so happens that one of the motels they mentioned had burned down the week before. And by burned down, I mean, there is pretty much just a large pile of ashes. And an oven. Nobody knows why a freaking OVEN survived.

And thanks. Seriously, thanks to everyone, I'm so stoked. Started this morning, and so far they've been super friendly.

Seraph, my congratulations! Sounds like a sweet gig.

My brother designs web server software and has worked from home for most of his career (going on 20 some years) and has never had any issues with the boss as long as the projects get done on time and he's accessible if needed. He's been a stay at home dad and has the freedom to take the kids to and from school or dance class as needed. He delivers, and that's all anyone cares about.

If you deliver, your boss won't care. And I know you can deliver.

Yep, probably will, especially after what transpired yesterday.

My first day of work went so amazingly, amazingly well...that they offered me co-seat as Design Team Lead. Which, after my 60 days, will have a better paybump than what they originally stated me at.

So, uh, is a growing terror that something may happen before the 60 days are up a standard thing for having a fulltime job? Because darn, I'm just jumping at every shadow, lol.
