Same here, GK. In the beginning it pays to have a higher Charisma.

Although in my last playthrough I should've put more in strength since I favored "bare handed" fighting.

My favorite story wise would be 3 but I like the gameplay of New Vegas more.

My favorite moment is running up to a deathclaw or yao guai and blowing their head clean off in VATS.

Thats kind of what I was talking about. Vegas basically incorporated the features of several mods from Fallout 3. Such as cooking and crafting ( Survival ) and the food/water/sleep mode.

I've been playing Dark Souls, and got my hands on the Dragonslayer Greatbow; When you can launch entire fucking trees at enemies, that explode shortly after impact, you know you have a cool weapon. (Now, if only each arrow didn't cost 500 souls...)

One thing I love is that NV has some good callbacks to older fallouts; for example, Cass in NV, is Cassidy's kid from F2. IIRC, she even has her dad's heart condition.

Console versions dont get mods afaik and has been said. But thankfully we get the DLC!
3 Has been my favourite story line, NV my favourite gameplay.

But Old World Blues was the most entertaining sideline story ever ("His final words were, they would rue the day they had bread, and nothing to toast it with"), and Lonesome road had an awesome storyline, I really liked the discussions with Ulysses as you travelled along.
Dead Money wasn't as great imo, the villa section was a bit repetitive, but the end game had some nice discussions and I did feel sorry for Dog/God.

Also, a high perception skill, plus the Gun Runners add-on lead to my currently benchmark for overkill:
1 - Take the Anti-Material Rifle, with all GRA add-ons.
2 - Accidentally leave the explosive .50 rounds selected(I truly had forgotton they were enabled)
3 - Pickup a lightly armoured gang member in the wasteland
4 - Snipe, and get a kill cam showing you an explosion.... and thats it.

I mean like people that totally convert the Wasteland with anthropomorphic Friendship is Magic pony models complete with anatomical correctness. Then apply Fallout 3's vast array of lingerie mods.

You want a real treat? Try playing any of those, or New Vegas, with your Intelligence stat as low as possible

The most hilarious part of doing that is there's an NPC who demands you give a password at one point. The password (Ice Cream) normally has to be figured out through normal means, but if you're playing an idiot, then the only dialogue option other than walking away is to scream "ICE CREAM!!!"

It had to use Hammerspace, as I got bottle caps and ammunition from it.

What's funny is when the body disappears and the body part is still hanging around. I love using the VATs just because I use less ammo when my ammo is low.

Looting eyeballs is always fun

What I really want to know though is where on earlth do those ghouls that wear nothing but what looks like rotted underwear hide the cigarette cartons & teddybears I keep looting from their bodies?
