  • Sooo Happy at the moment

Despite the events of the past 2 months(in-laws and employee problems), Life managed to drop by, give me a card and apologize.

    /background/

For the past 15 years, my dirty little secret has been that I play/collect Battletech in all its forms. DON'T JUDGE ME! unfortunately, about 5 years ago I took on a roommate and most of my 'collection' disappeared. The short story is, he was insane.

    /end background/

I get a call this morning from a friend of the old roommate,

FoR: *paint ball worker*, its Pete. I found some of *douchebags* stuff, can you come and see if any of its yours.
    Me: sure *drives over*

My entire collection, miniatures, out of print books, EVERYTHING ! Was there. Including some stuff I never thought was missing!

    *SQUEE*

Move along citizen, nothing to see here. Just a grown man squeeing like a schoolgirl over giant robots.
    Frying pans! Who knew, right?

    While I LOL'd, I think that's awesome. Grats.

Lord knows I'd be after someone if they stole my Hello Kitty or Doctor Who items.

How awesome! Don't you just love those days when life seems to kiss you right on the lips?

From one Battletech junkie to another, AWESOME! Glad you got your stuff back!

Absolutely no reason for it to be a dirty little secret. It's a fun game with lots of cool minis.

If you're still missing anything (as long as it's not unseen), let me know and I'll see if I can help you out.

The only things I'm missing are my old Star League sourcebook, and my fat-lance(3 fatapults and a Crescent Hawks Phoenix Hawk LAM), the rest is safe and sound.

I can't wait for November when my dedicated gaming table shows up(BTW, if your ever in Ottawa, Ontario--my Coyotes need a.good fight)

I'm picturing a beam of light out of the clouds and angels singing. Was it like that?

The LAM might be a bit on the hard side to recover, considering how rare they are.

And by "fatapults," should I take that to mean the old plastic box set ones?

Yes, they are the ancient plastic ones.

Let me see what I can do. I might have a couple laying around. I've got plenty of the new metal ones (including some of the PPC variants), so I really don't need the plastics...

I kitbashed my three K2 Catapults, along with most of my SLDF Regiment that I'm in the process of making.

Got any Mackies for that SLDF regiment?

6, including my Commanding Officers custom Mackie.

I also have 8 kitbashed Phoenix Hawk LAMs and 4 Wasp LAMs.

Take reseen PHawk, attach legs and arms to a Mechbuster fighter, add jump jets on top...voila, SLDF Phoenix Hawk LAM

Too bad that, when it first happened, you couldn't have arranged for a Stalker to get on Douchebag's case. On the other hand, maybe he'll face the "wrath of God" in the form of a plague of Locusts.
