10pm: Twins to bed, wash baby bottles, clean highchairs, pick up dirty baby clothes
10:30: dinner, followed by a shower or hot bath
11pm: A club soda, occasionally a glass of wine or beer, TV
12 am: The Sims 3 or Diablo 3, or classic SNES or NES games
2am : Brush teeth, maybe a midnight snack, check on the babies, bed! (But not before letting my kitty Max in my room, or carrying up Big Fester kitty for a snuggle, I don't sleep well unless I am in the presence of cats!)
Depending on what time I work the next morning (or if I go in at all), I start by taking the dogs out one last time so they're not waking up with full bladders at some ungodly hour.
Remove collars
Put Dobby in crate Seriously, he loves his crate and will pass out almost immediately. He even gets REALLY cranky and insecure if I don't put him in there when he asks.
Tell Strider it's bedtime, he just goes to the bedroom and gets in his bed.
Then I either read or watch Netflix for an hour or two. Lately it's been an episode or two of Doctor Who. I'm a newbie
Turn off computer/close book, get up to turn off light. Take care not to trip on Strider who has moved from his bed to a blanket on the floor.
Good night, moon!
The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.
My sunrise clock helps a lot too, making sure the light gradually gets too dim to read and therefore making sure I don't keep reading until 2am.
This is a good idea...I've thought of getting one of these for waking up in the morning but I never thought if it in reverse... I used to have a lamp on a timer to come on just before my alarm. My old apartment faced a main road and there was too much light from the road so I had to have dark curtains, and when I have to get up in the dark it was really hard.
I don't really have a ritual. I brush my teeth and wash my face. Sometimes I read. I really should get off the computer earlier and wind down better. I don't get enough sleep.
Normally: Some time after 10-11 pm I have a lovely hot shower, get into some comfy pjs, brush my teeth, have a drink of water, and then cuddle up in bed with Rugz.
At the moment it's:
1 - Change nappy, feed and burp bub at 10-11 pm.
2 - Carefully sneak up bub upstairs and into his bassinet next to our bed.
3 - Have a huge drink of water, refill my drink bottle and put it on my bedside table.
4 - Check that I have a clean, folded blanket plus a clean burp cloth for the 4 am feed.
5 - Have a blissfully long, hot shower and find some comfy pjs.
6 - Brush teeth and drink some more water.
7 - Let my hair down and finally snuggle up in bed with Rugz.
I just absolutely love fresh sheets, fresh pajamas and hopping into bed right out of a shower. Making my nest comfy, picking something to watch on tv and picking out an ebook on my droid1.
I don't understand people who don't mind getting into bed dirty or sweaty=(
EVE Online: 99% of the time you sit around waiting for something to happen, but that 1% of action is what hooks people like crack, you don't get interviewed by the BBC for a WoW raid.
Make sure lil ray is actually sleeping.
take shower, brush hair, teeth and put jammies on
snuggle dog.
watch tv, read cs on my nook or watch tv til i zonk out
Mine is waist-length, too. The one time in the last 6 months that I fell asleep without putting it up somehow, the next day there was weeping and gnashing of teeth as I spent 40 minutes detangling it.
"Is it hot in here to you? It's very warm, isn't it?"--Nero, probably
I like to fall asleep watching and listening to relaxation videos. I have my laptop set up next to my bed, put on my earphones, and play ASMR or hypnosis videos on Youtube.
Steven Slater ROCKS! So does James Jones!
The world is an asshole contest...and EVERYONE'S A WINNER!
Don't you just hate movies or tv when the heroine has seriously long hair and it never gets snarled into a rat-king by sleeping on it or running around in a tornado with it loose? *sigh* If I don't get it braided into submission, half an hour, 45 minutes of work with the comb and fingers to get the knots all out.

I *HAVE TO* read before I go to bed, even if its just 5 minutes. If I don't, I just lie there and can't seem to get my brain into "go the frak to sleep" mode. I've been this way since I was a child, and I *always* have books on hand - it doesn't have to be something new (often I like to re-read old favorites) but I must get my reading in or I won't sleep.
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away.
