  • You at work?

I'm working. It's Sunday. I'm bored lol. Here's a snap shot of what a nice easy day looks like as a winderman (just signed off on this job. Next one pays $40 an hour once these old guys retire!)

Had some IT issues and my crew is working hard. But it's all easy here lol.

One simple reason why I love my job: I don't work weekends.

Every second weekend I get Friday-Sunday off. But man this staying up till 11 (due to various things like my pups getting used to my new place) and then waking up at 4 is killing me lol. Night shift next Wednesday Thursday so I can catch up.

(bonus to my job. Get paid 44 hours minimum and every second week only work Wednesday Thursday)

I am a stay-at-home mom. I am almost always at work.

        $40 an hour? Wow!

Definitely under paid and over worked. I should know. I saw what we did to my Mom.

Yeah, let me post a picture of what it's like on a Sunday here at The Client--

Wait, nope, can't do that. Secure facility. No cameras allowed.

Sundays are easy at the post office, all dark even in the middle of the day with the pin point lights of the see in the dark cameras.

Wow. Pretty grateful l for my job. Though honestly it spoils you lol. The shit we whine about is ridiculous sometimes. Especially since imonce worked 16 hours a day 7 days a week as a welder

Being that yesterday at work, Internet access was restricted to essential use (and sadly, "protecting Jay's sanity from boredom" is not considered essential), I spent most of my shift putting together a Lego Architecture set I'd bought the day before.

Robie House, for the record. 2276 pieces.

While I was doing that, I was chatting with a CW whom I don't often speak to, who was covering a coworker's shift.

So at least I had something to occupy my time.

I took up knitting at one point when the Internet went down.

Now I'm up to issue 5 of Knit n Stitch and in the process of making my 2nd square

Funnily enough, the CW I was chatting with yesterday, when I commented that I started buying Lego sets and those 3D crystal puzzle things to give my hands something to do while watching TV/DVD/Netflix, suggested I take up knitting.

                        I said "Nope."

This is not to demean knitting. It's just not something I'm interested in.

No cameras allowed at my workplace either. Not that much really goes on during weekends--financial markets are closed, so we have the day off.
