So pokemon x and y came out today. Those who have, or are going to get the game, tell your feelings here.

I think it's the cute generation of pokemon~ all the new fairy pokemon are so cute~

Also, sixteen soft resets in, still aiming towards shiny fennekin. Shiny gods don't let me down. I'll go through the 8192 times if I gotta!

I just got X this morning and I love it! I didn't know you could get a shiny right outta the gate though, I may have to reset cause that sounds cool.

Getting geared up to get my second badge, just need to check out the Gym and find out what type it is.

Can I just say Shawna is erm less bright then most of the other friends. Well meaning but most of the time it's "Seriously Shawna?!" too the point where one of the gang of friends says that.

Love the game need to catch allllll the pokemon.

I also got a poster, despite only pre-ordering x, because they got an extra box. So I got pretty lucky.

We got all three posters since the shop was pretty easy on everyone helping themselves to them. Each one has the pokemon from the different eras of games on them.

I got X yesterday morning and have been playing it on-and-off a few hours at a time - my job gives me God-awful Tetris Effect and I've become prone to it methinks so I'm being careful!

But OMG, this generation is stunningly beautiful. The way the water laps against the shore, the way the wind ripples through the grass. The way the colour of the day almost imperceptibly dims to night. The movement of the Pokémon as they battle. It's come a long, long way.

And they really are not bothering at all to disguise the fact that Kalos is France. Obviously France. Sycamore says 'Tres bien!' after you put your name in, there are the very European tiled patios scattered with chairs and tables, and the café sells Chocolate Chaud, Limonade and Cafe au Lait! It is SO France. I've named my character and nicknaming all my Pokémon accordingly, dragging around a French dictionary with me. So we've had Japan, Japan, Japan, Hokkaido, the US and now France; where next? Australia? Screw that, the *player* will have to have a health bar... XD

As you can tell I'm really excited and pleased about this gen. I didn't like Black and White for some reason, I've no idea why.

I've thrashed the first gym but now I'm grinding in the forest. Mostly because I've got lots of Scatterbugs to find and turn into butterflies; Vivillon's wing patterns differ depending on what region you are, as in quite stunningly differing too, so I'm trying to breed loads of whatever mine will be so I can trade them with my friends for whatever theirs are!!

Is it an idea to swap friend codes here?

There is a "low-end" version of the 3DS that's coming out/come out called the 2DS, which basically lacks some of the functions of the 3DS and resembles one giant tablet.

Personally I plan on getting my 3DS secondhand at some point.

That's why I got X (well, I picked up both games, but X will be my primary). Now that I've started I came up with a new naming scheme...do I want to restart? I love the graphics and art; wish there was more flexibility in Trainer customization though.

The game seems to have an internal database of 'banned' names ( in B/W you were forced to give Cofagrigus a nickname to use it in matchups or trades). Prickle is nixed (probably obvious), but Spike?

I cannot wait for Poke Transfer/Bank to go live...I wanna use my Emolga!

Actually, the 2DS was released on the same day as Pokémon x, so that people could get both on the same day and play it.

More customisation? O.o I'm just overjoyed there's clothes-changing at all. I keep spamming the hat shop in Santalune to see if there's anything cooler while I grind.

I looked this up this morning while I was browsing Serebii for discoveries. I think it's a fantastic idea I'll be transferring at least a Castform with Pokérus.

Soft resets are taking me forever, 46 Eddie's and 13 Lynette's later and still no shiny fennekin. I think I'll just keep going until I get another Lynette and start really playing.
