So I've been looking for a job for the past few months. As of yet, no interviews. However, this really amazing adult book/toy store is currently hiring. The applications were all due last Wednesday, and I got my application to them in time. I have yet to hear back from them, but as it is a holiday weekend here in Canada, I'm assuming they will be calling people on Tuesday or later.
I REALLY want this job. I need a job, period, but I really WANT this one. The store is really cool and has a great vibe to it. It's all about having a safe space to explore your sexuality and gender identity. It's just an amazing store. Plus if I were to get the position I would get to do community outreach for Sexual Health, Workshops on Toys and BDSM and other things, and just get to learn a lot of stuff. It would be an amazing opportunity, and I REALLY want to work there.
So, while I realize this is selfish, I was wondering if you could all send out some positive thoughts and prayers into the universe for me to get this job. I really feel like I could help a lot of people, and I just really want to work there. I've never been this excited about a prospective job, and I really love this shop. So thank you all in advance, especially if I get the job. I have a feeling that I might get some pretty epic stories for you all if this works out.
